A pathway towards licensing

Learn a trade. Build a business.

One of the biggest challenges when starting a trade business is finding enough customers. At EFC, we’ve already solved that problem for you.

Once you’ve completed initial training and demonstrated the required competency, we’ll provide guaranteed installation work through your own contracting business.

$223,920 + GST

Potential annual installation revenue

240 installations per year across 46 working weeks. And that’s just the starting point. Positions are available now in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast.

Your earning potential grows with experience

As your experience grows, opportunities include increasing installation rates, customer-service incentives, referral and sales commissions, and additional income from approved on-site variations.

The best part?

You don’t need to find customers, quote jobs or chase invoices. EFC handles marketing, sales, quoting, scheduling and customer administration. You concentrate on installing excellent floors.

Financial illustration: $223,920 is gross installation revenue based on 240 one-day installations at $933 per day, before expenses, any additional labour, vehicle costs, equipment repayments and tax. It is not personal take-home income. Work guarantee subject to agreement.

The epoxy flooring industry has a training problem. We want to change that.

Too many people enter the industry without sufficient practical training, ongoing support or a clear pathway to professional competency. Poor preparation, inappropriate systems and avoidable mistakes can leave customers with failed floors and installers facing costly repairs.

A short course can introduce the fundamentals. But it cannot expose you to the full range of concrete conditions, moisture problems, contamination, repairs and installation challenges that arise on real jobs. And neither can four weeks alone.

We believe the industry needs better-trained installers, greater professionalism and stronger accountability. That’s why EFC created an apprenticeship-style, three-year professional development program, designed to help installers gain experience, build competence and work towards the appropriate Queensland licence.

More than a course. A pathway to becoming a professional.

Queensland has licensing requirements for relevant building work. The EFC program is designed to help you build the knowledge and practical experience needed to pursue applicable certification and QBCC licensing, not simply learn how to apply a coating.

We want graduates to be equipped for long-term success, whether they remain with EFC or establish their own business.

Four weeks to learn the fundamentals. Three years to build your expertise.

Initial four weeks

Hands-on practical training, alongside your first online certified course. The focus is safe preparation, equipment, product handling, installation methods and learning EFC systems.

Over the next three years

Enrolment in two further courses, combined with real-world installations, ongoing mentoring and practical development towards relevant certification and licensing.

Earn while you learn

Once initial training is completed and you are approved to undertake paid installations under the agreed arrangement, your contracting business can begin earning while you continue developing your skills.

In business for yourself. Never on your own.

When you encounter an unfamiliar problem on site, you don’t need to guess or take unnecessary risks. Pick up the phone. You’ll have daily access to Tim and experienced EFC installers for technical guidance.

You’ll benefit from more than 4,000 installations across 200,000 m², plus the experiences of multiple fellow installers currently working in the field.

Through our private online installer forums, the team shares real-world questions, successes, mistakes, challenges and lessons. What one installer learns today can help everyone avoid a problem tomorrow.
